Awards.

     We are rightfully proud to have been selected as Irish Pub of the Year, 2002.

      And especially as the award was from none other that Irish Distillers of world renown - Jameson - and also by internationally respected judge of fine cuisine, Georgina Campbell.

      We are not resting on our laurels. We are also very proud of our restaurant as well as our bars. And our accommodation is to the highest standards. You will also find our staff considerate and friendly.

      And we cannot claim credit for everything either - such as our location. The Bosun is situated just over a mile from the historic Monkstown castle - itself situated on a world class golf course. Monkstown Bay Sailing and also Rowing clubs are only yards away. But the beautiful river Lee is quite simply across the road! Watching the traffic over a drink can be fun - whether it be a Ferry, Trawler, Container ship or our our local club's coxed four Therein lies a clue to how our establishment got it's name!

      The award presentation was at the Old Jameson Distillery at Smithfield in Dublin.
